c star auditions!

okay hey there im gonna spill my feelings over here about cstar auditions. so feel free to leave comments:)

1st Stage:
right. Before the audition i was actually not so nervous but well excited and I thought I would have fun. Also, to be honest I imagined myself getting all three yes's. NO. It was so different. As they called my number and put me inside the room with other contestants, my heart started pumping well fast like a mad horse running. When I started singing, of course my voice cracked a bit when i reached the high notes. After singing two songs, here goes the judges' comments. The first two guys gave nice comments and useful advices and i was lik 'ooo tht wasn't too bad'. but then here comes the lady. All she said was 'your not my cup of tea'. and i was thinking like 'huh? i dont really get what you meant. I mean Im me, what im singing is my style. And im not planning to be someone that is your style cuz thats just not the real me.' After the audition I was actually kinda depressed than i expected to be. Also both of my parents came and stayed and actually heard my entire audition. I know they were there to give me support but after the audition they were still discussing about it and that made me even more unhappy because i reminded me of the judge saying 'your not my cup of tea'. I did thought of quitting cstar afterwards. But i didnt. I told myself that this is my first time to face the reality. Im 15 years old but still I have to be tough, not only to be in this industry but to survive in this universe. I have to accept people's judgements on me. So I stayed to the next round.

2nd Stage:
Okay. After i knew I got into the second round, I asked my friends' and my parents' advice. Although my friends told me Im amazing at singing, I know they were saying this because they are my friends. For my parents, they mostly pointed out problems that I have when i sing, even though they didn't actually pay attention to my singing. So when they paid full attention, they said I was great. but i was lik 'wait a minute.... I sang even worse than before. How was that better?' So I made a decision that Im not going to listen to both of my friends and my parents. I need to face this round alone. So i chose to sing 'Hero' instead of 'colours of the wind' according to my parents or 'Love story' according to my friends. When i got into the university, I saw people singing with the guitar and feeling very relaxed, and also, AMAZING at singing. So i was lik 'woaaahh competition here!'. Anyways. Overall i think this round was way more relaxing than the first round. As in atmosphere-wise, not competition-wise. So i started singing, but not even half way through, I forgot the lyrics. but thanks to my lovely groupies, they cheered for me and i gained back my confidence. And that was the first time i felt like 'hey, I can do this. Im Jasmine Chan, the future chinese singer.' That was the first time I felt like I wanted this so bad. But also on the other side, I enjoyed the whole audition because it seemed like everyone had so much fun singing together. It seemed like everyone was so passionate to music, even though we dont speak the same language (well im saying this cuz my mandarin sucks:P) Although after the audition i didnt get the 'pass card' thingy and im still waiting for people to vote for me, I actually enjoyed being in this competition and met new friends who like singing as much or even more than I do.

At last i want to say is that thank you so much guys for being so supportive and I wish you all to keep on with the singing and music as we all are artists even if we dont sing very well! Im saying this because I think if you believe you are amazing, then you are amazing. cheers guys. x
